Senior Financial Advisor, Katie Young, joined the Maxim Private Clients team in July 2021.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Management from the University of Newcastle in 2001, Katie commenced her management career in hospitality.

In 2005 Katie chose to pursue her interest in the financial services industry taking on a practice management role, prior to completing her Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) in 2009 and her Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking) in 2010.

Katie then set about building her career as a Financial Advisor, in a Port Stephens based practice, prior to joining Forsythes Financial Advisors in 2019. The Forsythes Financial Advisors team merged with Maxim Private Clients in 2021, and Katie has embraced the challenge of her new role and is a highly valued senior member of our financial advice team.

With her genuine desire to help others, Katie enjoys establishing strong relationships with her clients and focuses on guiding them towards meeting their financial goals.

Katie enjoys working with our diverse client base and has a special interest in assisting professional women achieve their unique goals. Through her involvement with local Women in Business networks, Katie has formed strong connections with other local professional women and has worked closely with many in matters of family and estate law.

When not at work, Katie’s strong desire to help others extends to her volunteer work within the community as an Event Ambassador for parkrun, as well as being involved in various charity events to raise funds and awareness for those effected by domestic violence.

For relaxation Katie enjoys keeping fit and active, spending time with her family, friends and her dogs.
